Help with setting minecraft up on my VPS

Post by Kazuhiro »

I have Tekkit server download on my VPS. I checked to see if the port was seeable (25565). It isn't seen at all. I need to know how to setup this tekkit server so that my pals and i can get on and enjoy ourselves.

Is the server actually returning that the port is closed? As we do not block any ports on our end, so it should be open and available for connections.

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Error: I could not see your service on 72.5.102.247 on port (25565)
Reason: Connection refused

This is what it gave me when i checked to see if the port was open. I try running the server. I guess i could use some help setting it up on my vps? since im having trouble with it. Which is odd cause i set it up just fine on my actual computer.

Have actually fixed the issue on my own. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction :). If you're wondering it was just a firewall issue just needed to make an inbound rule for minecraft port 25565.
