Some servers are known to lock down files while the server is in use, have you tried editing the same files while the server is turned off?

Also can you go in to a little more detail on how you are editing the files, such as are you using the "File Manager" tab in your control panel or FTP?

Also are you presented with any errors?

What are you trying to edit that is not letting you? Also have you confirmed that you are really not allowed to edit the file and instead editing the wrong file or not editing it correctly?

To be clear, when you say it is not letting you, do you mean using the option gives an error, or that you simply don't have the option?

It may be that your FTP client is opening the FTP in a read-only format.

Try setting passive mode in your FTP if you haven't already.

If you haven't already please open up a support request from the Help! Section on the bottom left of your control panel. That will allow us to look first hand and attempt to assist with this issue.

If you have already opened a request please disregard this message.
