help!

Post by drox65 »

Idk if you guys could help with this but....... i have bought a minecraft server form you guys. I installed all the auto installers and also multiverse! it seems to be that when me or my friends go ion another world we change back to group default (it seems to be a problem with the group manager)! I have tried repromoting them in the world but nothing works! i would love to know how to fix this (because i actually like group manager!) If i could i would install another permissions system and delete group manager! But when i delete it n my FTP program it deletes then when i log back on to the server (after i restart it) it is still there! i have tried deleting it in as many ways as possible but it seems to do this every time!

i would really like this fixed as soon as possible! thanks.

When you delete the folder for Permisions, are you also deleting the plugin?
If you don't, once you restart, it will create the folder again.

Not sure, but does the admin panel here allow disabling of plugins?
I know tools like mcmyadmin allows you to click a box on/off to enable/disable.

No, plugins would have to be deleted/disabled by hand.

Look for the permissions plugin.

Probably Permission.jar

Delete the file for the Permissions in the plugins folder.
You can also delete the Permissions folder.
Then restart your server and it should be gone.

The plugin should be named the same as the folder so they are easy to link together.

If you don't want it, the .jar file is the plugin.
The folder is created by the plugin, so once the plugin is removed, the folder can go too.
