Instructions for Mo Creatures upload not working for me...

Could anyone please help me install the Mo Creatures mod to my NFO server with step by step instructions?

I followed the instructions from hiimcody1 in the other Mo Creatures thread and the server would not start (remained offline despite stopping and restarting multiple times) after I selected the new bukkitt snapshot jar that I FTP'd.

I've spent hours trying to troubleshoot with no luck.

I would love clear, noob-proof instructions on how to do this. I bet many others would love that too.

Follow this method:

Download this: https://github.com/downloads/MinecraftP ... HOT-93.jar

That is a Forge Server jar combined with bukkit.

Then find and download the ported version of Mo' Creatures on this list: http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.p ... _for_1.2.5 (this goes in the mods folder)

Upload that jar via our FTP and upload the zip file to the mods folder via ftp.

Select the new jar file from the server control tab and restart your server.

Theres other mods there that may interest you as well.

Thank you for the video help. I followed the steps and was able to load the new .jar file but now I get an error when I try to connect to my NFO minecraft server:

"This server requires you have Minecraft Forge installed."

2 questions:

1) Do I need to intall Forge in my appdata minecraft file?

2) Following your video, I placed the Mo Creatures 3.6.2 zip file in the plugins folder. I didn't see you unzip it in the video. Don't I need to extract out the files?

You do not have to unzip it. ModLoader reads zip files.

Again, thank you for assisting me.

I successfully uploaded the Mo Creatures mod to my Minecraft client. I now see all the new creatures when playing a single player mode.

But the Mo Creatures mod is not uploading on my NFO server. When I check for uploaded plugins, the server only lists the Forge mod as running.

I am running the craftbukkit .jar file that you linked to in your video and I placed the Mo Creatures 3.6.2 zip file in the plugins folder.

Minecraft runs fine but I'm not seeing any of the new creatures on the server game...

Any thoughts? Do I need to include the CustomMob spawner zip file in the plugins folder too? (as is required for the client?) What about the GUI api file?

Okay WOW. I had a moment. Move the MoC zip to the mods folder.

(this will teach me to make random tutorial videos when I'm tired)

Still struggling here. Now when I type /plugins, it does show the modmocreatures running. But I'm still not seeing any new creatures. I increased the level difficulty and created a new world... but still only chickens, sheep and pigs...
