Mani Admin w/ Sourcemod [CSS]

Post by Fonzy »

Hi, I'm having some trouble getting Mani to load as a plugin with metamod. I used this guide to make the VDF that i placed in the cstrike/addons/metamod folder, but when i do the server refuses to start. I know its old, but i have a liking for some of the features i can't get with sourcemod alone, and would like to use both. Anyone have luck getting it to work, or might have an idea? Thanks!

What features are you missing from Mani? There are thousands of plugins for sourcemod, and I have seen a lot of plugins that were made specifically to be ports of Mani features. Maybe we could help you find plugins that bring back features you love.

Last I heard on here, Mani was no longer supported, and was broken a few updates ago.

I was afraid of that :(. The TK punishment menu and the soundslist were two that we cant live without. I haven't managed to find any addons that might work as replacements yet, and i have no idea how to code. Old clan got back together, trying to make the server as it was.

Would this plugin be a suitable tk punishment menu? https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=714326

Here is a list of servers using the plugin if you would like to try it out in-game: http://www.gametracker.com/search/css/? ... rt=&order=

Here is a plugin that claims to be a replacement for the sounds you can play through mani: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=523684

If these don't suit your needs, check out the plugin search here: http://www.sourcemod.net/plugins.php

If you need any help installing or configuring these plugins, I would be happy to help!

Thank you so much for the help! Don't know how i didn't see those.

I'm having a few problems i could use some help with if you don't mind. Been 5 or so years since I've done this, it looks like they changed some stuff up.

First issue I'm having, my GunGame win songs, and the sounds in the sound mod, redownload every time i connect. I had put them in cstrike/sound/Clanname. Do i have to put them in the cstrike/download folder now?

The sound mod looks great, it makes you download the sounds, and it lists them correctly when i type the command, but they don't play. I have them as Mp3 128kbit 44100Hz stereo.

I tested out the TK Punishment addon on one of the servers that had it like you suggested, and it looks to be what I'm looking for! But when i try to download it, it redirects me to a page saying it failed to compile.

For the tk punishment plugin, download the .smx file that is provided instead of clicking get plugin.

Here are the installation instructions that were in the middle of the OP for the plugin:
Installation Details

Download the "antitk.phrases.txt" translation file and save to your addons\sourcemod\translations directory.

Pre-compiled:
Download the "antitk.smx" and save to your addons\sourcemod\plugins directory.
The phrases file is required, or the plugin won't load.

Files that download each time you join means your client is not actually downloading the files. Do you have any experience with fastdl? You should use a web host to give high-speed downloads to clients. Files not downloading would also explain why nothing happens when you try to play them.

I used web sync in the control panel, i thought that set up the free URL they gave me as part of the package for fastdl. Just had a buddy try to connect and it was telling him he had to download a missing map or something, so i think i jacked something up.

I have in the server.cfg:
net_maxfilesize 90
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowupload 1
sv_downloadurl "http://clanname.site.nfoservers.com/server"

For NFO's web sync to work, you need to use the custom folder(which is why I was never able to use it).

Here is some information on how that works: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 30&p=45577

I'd like to thank you for the help again, we got the maps downloading for everyone now, still having issues with sounds that were going to try fixing later.

If you wouldn't mind giving guidance one more time, do you have a plugin you would recommend that would vote for the next map after a certain level, possibly with an RTV option, with GunGame?

Not sure if GunGame:SM comes with one built in or not. I noticed some config files for mapvote, so im not sure if i jacked something up messing around trying to get Mani to work. All it had in it was:

// Insert the voting command that start the map chooser plugin of your choice.

// SourceMod Mapchooser command
// ----------------------------
// sm_mapvote

// Mani Admin Plugin command
// -------------------------
// ma_voterandom 4 end

sm_mapvote

Sorry, I searched for a while on the SM forums and couldn't find a solution for you.

What does it do currently? Does a map vote never pop up?

Nope, goes straight to a new map in the list. Most of the stuff that pops up on google is super outdated :/.

Do you have the mapchooser plugin installed(look for mapchooser.smx in your plugins folder)?

Only one I'm seeing is Nextmap.smx. I searched http://www.sourcemod.net/plugins.php when i first noticed the name and it came up negative.

Move mapchooser from the disabled folder into your plugins folder. Also make sure that all of your maps you want to play are in mapcycle.txt in your cstrike folder.
