A required update was applied today. Did you just see this in the short period of time before it was completely rolled out?

Whenever a required update is released for a Valve game, it's immediately and automatically rolled out by the system here and an event is posted to the control panel's "Events log" page (also sending out an email, if notifications are enabled).

I see no release notes.
Also do you know if they finally fixed the ghost players bug?

The update was to fix a performance problem following their last update, by turning off round stats.

The ghost players bug is less prevalent than before but we still occasionally see it.
