COD 4 Player Welcome Message

One of our community members was on a COD 4 server the other day. When he connected he said a welcome message displayed in game welcoming him by name, and then displayed their server rules.

I am assuming that this is a PB capability though I maybe wrong. Can anyone point to instructions on how to do this type of thing.

I already have our server message set to display and timed intervals via PB but this sounds different with the welcome message.

I'm not aware of an easy way to do that without a mod, but I'll see if I can find anything. Was this on a ranked server?

I have yet to find any breakthroughs since we talked last, however I have a suggestion.

set scr_motd "Welcome, ^name"

or

set scr_motd "Welcome ^name^"

Those are worth a try, using the in-game MOTD.

Edge yes it was a ranked server.

aMies|NFo; Those commands are not working. I cant even get it to just display Welcome when I join. Not sure why. I have looked at several other MOTD commands from other servers by Googling it. It seems like it should at least display Welcome.

Okay I think I finally found the answer to my question. Its is an option if you stream to PBBans. The league that we play under requires that we stream our server to PBBans. When setting it I found the option for the welcome message.

If anyone is ever interested, PBBans is very easy to get installed, just upload two files to your server. You will however, need to create an account with PBBans (its free) and be approved before you can download the files and add your server to their list though.
