Shot Registration

Post by 0verdose »

How good do the shots hit on NF servers?
I'm thinking of switchin from Gamedaemons becuz of the decreasing quality of my server and shots not hitting that clearly should. Also do you lock the sys_ticrate to 100 becuz I prefer it at 200 becuz of the increase in server FPS it gives you

Shot registration is a tricky thing, as it's impossible to measure objectively and we haven't been able to really determine what causes it. The best way to check out our shot registration would be to find an empty public server on our Servers page and connect to it with your clanmates. Make sure that it's the same location and accelerated status as what you were considering purchase of.

We don't lock the sys_ticrate, but on nonaccelerated servers Windows seems to limit how fast the server can switch. On accelerated servers this limitation does not exist and by default we use a sys_ticrate of 500.
