When you record a demo on HLTV, it will be placed in the folder of the mod you recorded the demo for. If you recorded a demo for CS, it will be in a folder called cstrike. If you record for Day Of Defeat, it will be in a folder called dod, etc. The demo files can be accessed with FTP, and there will be an FTP link in the control panel for the server that you can use to logon. You can also use a 3rd party FTP client like FlashFXP, WSFTP, and CuteFTP.

The demos will also have a naming process that lists the demo name you specify plus the time and date it was recorded in number format. This is the default way that all demo files are recorded.

If you get both a game server and an HLTV server, they will be separate from each other in your control panel. Both will have separate FTP accounts.
