Fakefull 1.3 Crashing Problems

Post by robotics »

Hello

I was wondering, fakefull has been causing a lot of problems on our server with crashes and I want to know if it's possible to install a better one, fakefull 1.5 to boost our server traffic.

I know that some server managers don't have any problems with fakefull but I'm pretty sure it is causing our server to crash, I looked at the logs and it said that it is an old version and that a newer one is available in it.

I did download the newer program and it should be more stable, but it had absolutely no readme file and it required some module I could not find. Can you offer any assistance or recommendations on this? I found the 1.5 fakefull file at http://djeyl.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26946

Or do you have any alternatives?

Also, one more unrelated question. I find a lot of the time that I have to keep changing the server rotation to add aim_ak-colt to the rotation, after a few maps it always reverts back to its normal self when this map wasn't on our rotation. Now the same thing is applying to our mapchooser.amx file, it is continuously being activated over and over again despite me commenting it out in the plugins.ini every time I get the chance.

Any help is appreciated in this manner.

Thanks

Lawrence

Looks like that is for amxmod and not amxmodx.
Anyway, the fakefull module is available here: http://djeyl.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=27214

edit: I found the plugin over at amxmodx.org but im not sure if it works (since it was made to be used in an earlier version of amxmodx) http://www.amxmodx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6216
you will probably be ok if you recompile it first.

So as I understand it fakefull 1.3 is a stand alone, no amx needed. I do not remember having to compile this.

For this one I download the file, unzip it, and then compile the appropriate file, add it under plugins, and add a line in plugin.ini and that's it?

I'm a little confused where the module fits into this. I did download it but I never saw a readme file included with it.

The module was required for the amxmod version, the amxmodx plugin does not require the module. Looks like you have outlined the installation correctly.

And you are right, the original plugin by OLO was a metamod plugin which did not require amxmod/x.

Hello

When I compiled fakefull 1.5 for amxx it gave me the following error:

/home/groups/amxmodx/tmp/24ePhy0J.sma(45) : fatal error 100: cannot read from file: "FakeFull"

Compilation aborted.
1 Error.
Could not locate output file /home/users/amxmodx/public_html/websc/24ePhy0J.amx (compile failed).

Also, I still keep having to uncomment "mapchooser.amxx" every single time, we don't want that to come up.

I cant explain the mapchooser thing, the opposite effect was happening for someone else a few days ago. It's an amxmodx bug.

Make sure you are compiling the amxmodx version of FakeFull and not the amxmod version. If the amxmodx online compiler is not working, you may have to do it manually: http://rentalforums.nuclearfallout.net/ ... php?t=1527
