Also known as cracked servers. I noticed there are a few CS 1.6 servers in the public server list that which have the term "nonsteam" in their server name. This would mean that the servers are configured and would allow people with pirated copies to play the servers because they are nonsteam.
I'm not trying to get anyone's server here shutdown. I'm just asking a question out of curiosity.
Does nfo allow nonsteam servers?

Also, I was referring to the public server list on the nfo main site.
Re: Does nfo allow nonsteam servers?
We do not offer support for nonsteam servers. However, we realize that some customers run them. Valve seems to be allowing them, and a significant portion of the servers in the server browser are "nonsteam" (or phony). Right now we are not actively shutting them down when we find them, while we wait for Valve to adopt a negative position.
