server crashes

Post by lethaltalon » Thu Nov 29, 2012 3:41 pm

I know that the game servers i have may be missing game files and crashing the servers but is there a way to disable the auto repair script that is used by nfo that installs all the custom maps and or the default maps that come with the server? i have 4 cs servers on a VDS machine 1. is a deathrun server & only has deathrun maps on it. 2. a gungame server only has gg maps & select fy maps on it the others are custom maps server, none of the de_dust and dust2 maps just custom versions & custom maps only

Yes, if you open a support request, we can disable the downtime checker for you.

As a better and more permanent solution, though, I recommend that you update your map cycler/voting plugins to simply exclude the maps you don't want to be run.

If this is on a managed vds you should be able to do it yourself. Check the option:

Always ignore downtime of this server (don't check for crashes)

In the managed panel tab.

Idk how often 1.6 is updated, but every steam update it will re-download the default maps and make it take longer.
