AFK Channel in Mumble

Post by tstrong52 »

Trying to figure out how to make an auto AFK in Mumble. Something that can send a user to it after being idle for so long, and where you can't speak or basicly do anything. Is this possible?

I'm not sure on automatically moving people, but to make a channel where you can't speak is easy. Just log in as an admin, right click on the channel and edit it. In the ACL tab, add an ACL that's part of the "all" group. Then just check in the box next to Speak in the Deny column.

I would like to know how to go about this myself. Is this possible with NFO? If not, it would be a very nice feature to have.

From quick research it seems this is possible with an external script.

Here is an example:

This seems to require access to the machine hosting mumble.
