Mumble Murmur New User

Post by phi1316 »

I am new to using Mumble/Murmur and just purchased a server. I know it varies from Ventrilo with the certificates that it uses. My question is do I have to add a User in the Easy Setup of the Control Panel for a new user to even login to the server? Or can they just create their own username and have a valid certificate they have created to get into the server?

Thanks for the help,

They should be able to connect and make a certificate. If they reformat and fail to save it you will need to delete the user name in the cpanel before they can connect again.

It appears a new person was able to log on but the server still asked them for a password even though the Server Password was left Blank. Is that normal or is it asking for the user to create their own password?

Thanks

The message they are getting when trying to log in should be somewhat specific about why it is asking for a password. Did you have a password on your server before? If so, it may need a restart after the password was removed.
