Sound drops out when talking in TS3

Post by puremacgyver »

Guys I have been having some issue with sound in game, first it started in the bata (BF3) and now that thats down I'm back playing BC2 it's there too. At least in BC2 it's starts off fine but as soon as I talk (transmit. use lower left alt key) my sound is cut by two thirds. So quite that it fant, but within about 25 to 30 after using this key the sound returns until I transmit again.
I also have just upgraded to two 6950 ati cards (cross fire mode) maybe this is the issue with drivers and TS3. I am sure that I have the latest (updates 11.10) but maybe still to new. Also I have tried disabling all sound devices (two hdmi's and realteck) leaving just my head set as only device and that hasn't worked either (no change). Has anyone alse having this issue?

TS3 info:
3.0.1 (Build: 15001)
QT Version: 4.7.2

It's a TS3 bug.
It happens to me also with L4D2 and AA2.

Once the games starts up, the sound drops to about 30%.
If you minimize your game, close TS3, and start it again, it seems to fix itself.

I would also suggest running TS3 as admin. I know Ventrilo has had this problem before and there fix was to run as admin and set priority to high.

TimeX cheers! And thanks to OP kraze!

1. Open your TS3 client.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Plugins.
4. Uncheck volume control.
5. If needed, restart Teamspeak.

Tried it and it works! Phill (from ATI) said that I would get help here and he is right.

Thanks you all for your help! Mac
