TS3 Reserved Slots and AFK Channel

Hello, I have two simple questions about TS3. Anything I find on the internet is outdated so maybe I'll find something new.

I used to host my own server with a nonprofit license, so slots weren't a problem. With NFO, I just upgraded to 15 slots and looked into the reserved slot system. My set up is:
- I have client_use_reserved_slots set on my server admins only (myself and one friend, call him Alex)
- I have one reserved slot set
So is that one reserved slot "filled" if I connect, and will the server fill up to the full 15 even if Alex has not connected?

Also, has there been any update on how to make an auto kick / auto move on AFK for TS3?

I have not run into a need for reserved yet, so I cannot comment on that.

However i believe there are a few plugins related to afk clients on the teamspeak website:
