Battlefield Bad Company 2 Setup

Post by darkvortex »

So I was just wondering on the backend how the Bad Company 2 servers are going to work. With source they are only single threaded is that still the case with BC2 or has this changed and are they windows and linux or only one of the two? I know you can't give away all the details I just wanted some idea of what the backend looks like.

I overlooked this post before -- please accept my apologies.

All game servers that we host have one primary thread that handles nearly all the work, and BFBC2 is no exception to this, from what I have seen (we don't mind, since the single-threaded performance is good for this game). BFBC2 runs exclusively on Windows.

It's cool I was just trying to figure out if we should order cpu-priority or not we did just in case so now we just have to wait for the game to come out.
