Is it just an on / off thing, or can you tweak parts it? Also, running it on hardcore still keeps it ranked right? If anyone knows this stuff yet that is.

The game seems to allow the variables to be changed independently, but I don't know if actually honors the others when Hardcore is set. We'll have to do further testing on this one .

Enable 3D spotting? Do you know what that is in the control panel?

DICE describes the setting as meaning "Set if spotted targets are visible in the 3d-world". I don't information beyond that right now.

Ok I get it now, it means the little red triangle or whatever is on them so you can see them behind bushes / walls or whatever.

Do you know yet if I check hardcore mode but also check show minimap if it'll actually show it or does HC override it? I can test later (75%) to go on steam.

I haven't had a chance to test this yet, no. Please let me know what you find . (Also, make sure to change the map after changing one of these.)

Ok, it says hardcore is on, and having checked show minimap and no crosshair and I can see the minimap and have no crosshair. So looks like you can override certain parts of hardcore yay!

Ok nevermind, minimap just disappeared.

I have noticed that when hardcore is set it works on the initial map after server restart and then it reverts back to standard after map change. The crosshairs, mini map came back. Is this a known issue?

Yes, I talked to DICE about the forgotten hardcore issue this morning, and it is a known bug that they are working on. Server variables in general sometimes are not remembered properly across map changes right now.

Would you recommend just setting it to regular until the issue is fixed, or does NFO have a work around?
