The built-in autobalancer is pretty horribly broken and leads to a lot of crashes, so we've been recommending that renters turn it off as well. I'm glad it helped!

We've had the same results as well... I must say that this community is a whole lot friendlier than the Crysis players..

Disabled Autobalancer and enabled Punkbuster, then this happened after a couple hours of being online:

Nod, sounds like Evenbalance or EA had an issue there.

(Sweet, it sounds like they added undocumented player.onTeamSwitch events. I wonder if they added others that would be useful for the admin daemon.)

Oh no, the daemon that I am using emulates it.

Hrm... we've been running our server with PB since we've gotten it and haven't had any problems.

The our server was patched to r8 this morning and 2 hours later, our full server was emptied by PB...

There was 32 errors that looked like this:

username left the server
PunkBuster Server: Lost Connection (slot #7) xx.xx.xx.xx:xx 43f8087b6525f1xxxxx1df3bda4a(-) username

one after the other... weird.

There was a Plasma back-end problem earlier this morning that might have caused to happen to you.

Heh. I turned it on. I'd rather suffer with it, then suffer with out it.

Server's full again... seems to be working. I see some people getting that same error... perhaps there was a new PB update and some people are failing to get...
