MoH

Post by abcclanadmin »

For those with dedicated boxes that want to offer MoH, can we preorder the game and have the ability to have access to the server control panel a day or two early so we can get all options set and ready to go before the game is released and the server goes "live"? You could just lock out the ability to turn the server on before the release date. Then all server admins would have to do at midnight on Oct 12 is login to the server control panel and hit "Start Server" and we're off and running. It would be pretty cool to say that NFO-run servers were up before anyone else!

If DICE handles the release as they did BC2, we'll be able to put up the rented servers, and allow access to customize them, a day or two before the game's release.

Any updates as to the availability of setting up servers early? Didn't know if they may have shipped you the game files already or not yet.

The game is currently in a sort of pre-beta and we and DICE have been testing the files. There will be an open beta at some point, which will end shortly before the game's release. I would still not expect for us to be able to put up servers that renters can customize until a day or two before the game goes on sale.

Yep, we have this posted on our latest update on Facebook here.

It is also a good place to check for news updates that may not make our normal news section.

Is that supposed to be 12:01AM on the 11th Eastern time or Pacific?

Facebook says 12:01AM but failed to specify whether it was Eastern or Pacific time. Thanks for clearing it up though.

Not true -- I posted a follow-up shortly after the original post that clarified, as I foresaw confusion.

Back to work on prepping the rollout, I go.

Ok. Sorry. Must have missed it.

Anyway..couple other questions. Wasn't MoH supposed to support a spectate mode? I realize that it takes up a server slot, but what is the proper way to set that up? Is there a place to define allowed spectators? How does it work? Also, will you be adding a VIP list feature to the control panel in the future?
