The game supports spectator slots, but right now, DICE has advised against using them, as the client will sometimes hang upon load due to a bug. They will fix this in the first patch.

DICE says that they will be working on a regular reserved slot system for a later patch, but the game isn't launching with one.

Ok cool. Now on the server startup - can we start them up at 12:01 AM Eastern or Pacific? It would really suck to have people here on the east coast who have already been able to buy the game and we can't have a server for them until 3 hours later due to the time difference.

The game servers work as they're set up now, so people will be able to immediately able to play on your server after they install the game.

OK. Just tried to start the servers up and they wouldn't go. Do we still have to wait until midnight to fire them up?

Warning: Only those who have purchased Hot Zone can play Hot Zone maps.
(taken from cpanel)

The DLC being released today is free on the PC right?

There are two new DLCs.

- Clean Sweep. This was included in today's MoH update, and it's free. It adds a new elimination-style game mode, with support for four maps.

- Hot Zone. This is a DLC that can be purchased. It adds a new King of the Hill game mode, with support for another four maps.

If you run Hot Zone maps on your server, only players who have purchased the Hot Zone DLC will be able to play those maps. This means that if you run a mixed cycle and the map changes to a KOTH map, players without Hot Zone will be booted from the game.

Guess EA wants to milk the game for all its worth before CoD:BO comes out.
I see this game hitting the bargain bin real soon.

Maybe next time they won't hold content (maps/gamemodes) back to milk customers.
