Crysis 2 - Any progress today?

Any new info/progress on our problems today?
Any word on admin commands? Or VIP slots?
It would also be nice if the control panel would show players connected, or show people in the lobby waiting. I can't tell if our server is empty or if there is ppl in the lobby unless I am in game.....

Man ... I had one guy just lipping everyone off last night and I can't even kick him so he proceeded to abuse me for the rest of the night when he found out it was my server.......

Oh and look, it's friday, think EA will be working on anything till next week?

I have not heard word on plans to change these. I will ask EA/Crytek.

Nod, I'd love that too! Right now, the regular queries for the game do not include that information. But, you can see some of this by using the interface on the "Server control" page -- the "status" command shows you all of the connected players (though not what they are doing).

I would definitely have recommended kicking him :)

Will do. I'm waiting on that patch right now so that I can roll it out, and I'll post an Event when I do.

I have setup the levelrotation but it doesnt work... is this part of the patch fix?

I believe that you need to use a Custom variant in order to have your own level rotation. With a predefined variant, it is overridden by theirs.

doesnt custom variant turn it into a non ranked?

*sighs* why cant game developers get on board with the steam theory. For all the things I hate about steam the one thing I love is the server customization aspect. So bullshit i get deranked servers by making my servers more popular by having the best maps on rotation.

I'm asking them if they plan for this to change. I agree that the game is a bit too locked down right now.

At least we have some voice, if you can make it clear to them, the one thing I have learned is that having as many possible options is the best... off the top of my head:

1) join late option allow or deny
2) autobalance option allow or deny
3) some of the hud options should be able to modify without deranking you. This way i could make a custom pro type, with some features but not hardcore pro...
4) Custom map rotation without deranking

and im sure there is a laundry list of other things.

I'm passing on your suggestions to them and if you have more, I'd be happy to pass those on, too :).

There's an option to turn off auto-balancing right now (g_autoAssignTeams 0), but it makes the server unranked.

Clay52, the patch today is supposed to address that .. when they release it =\.

Oh? a patch definitely today? I'm guessing this will fix many issues, let's hope :roll:
