Typed text not visable in typable spaces

I have this problem where you can't see what you have typed. For example, when I open chat, and type something, it shows nothing, but when I press enter, it shows the chat normally. And I have this issue at everything where you can type something. Others on the server have this issue aswell and it only occurs when the gamemode "Combine Control" is loaded.
