When installing mods to my server's addon folder using FTP, they don't work.
So I tried using the workshop.vdf method, heres my current vdf...

I've discovered a problem in which the server only reads the first few or so lines. I discovered this when I read about other people having this problem. I had some mods in the last couple lines that weren't working, so I moved them to lines 1, 2 and 3. Sure enough, they started working. If anyone knows how to get all the lines working properly, please help me out.
ANOTHER problem I'm having is with the PlayX 2.6 youtube player mod. You may have been in servers such as GmodTheater which features this same addon. So getting it to work should be possible.
Upon moving the PlayX workshop ID up to line 1 (see previous problem), the PlayX spawner shows up in my Entities tab in-game. However, when I try to spawn a PlayX projector, it says "You do not have permission to use the player".
I've torn my hair out for the passed few days trying to get both issues sorted out, but I'm currently stumped. I've posted the issue in the in the PlayX issues github forum 3 days ago, and I'm still waiting on a possible solution.
Any input is surely welcome. Thanks
Anyone familiar with workshop.vdf and PlayX?

I recommend testing by uploading the addon directly, as the Garrysmod workshop tools seem to be broken right now. Alternately, if it has an SVN available, that would be a good way of obtaining the files (you can edit SVN URLs through the "Easy setup" page in the control panel).

Well, there might possible be limit as to how much space in mbs that you can load from the workshop.
I read somewhere that there is a 64 mb limit that Garry is trying to fix, but that might be outdated.

I know just what you need mate.
A GMA file extractor, so here is the download source link.

What it does is take the GMA files that you get from the workshop and turn them into proper folders and LUA files like what it used to be in Garry's Mod 12. This is the best verson of GMA extractor that I can find and it seems to work beautiful.
Let me know how it goes
It is pretty straight forward.

Some of the workshop mods your trying to use are bugged and have to be removed.
I wrote a tutorial on how to debug and remove the bad mods.
http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =81&t=8685
Try it out and once you remove the bad mods, the others will all start up fine.
Also, once you get things working, any new ones you add to the bottom, you will have to watch your console again and see if they act up.
