Bots not joining

I have the following in my gamemode_casul_server.cfg

bot_autodifficulty_threshold_high 0.0
bot_autodifficulty_threshold_low -2.0
bot_chatter normal
bot_defer_to_human_goals 0
bot_defer_to_human_items 1
bot_difficulty 1
bot_quota 10
bot_quota_mode fill
bot_join_after_player 0
bot_auto_vacate 0

As well as in the server.cfg

However bots will only join once a real player joins. Here is my startup

-game csgo -console -usercon +ip theip -port 27015 +sv_setsteamaccount tokennumber -net_port_try 1 +game_type 0 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup dusty +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 32 -maxplayers_override 32

Did you add these in yourself or did you modify the already existing values there? If you added them yourself it's possible another one exist and is overwriting what you put.

Took all bot commands out of the server config without success. Still only joining when I join.

Do you also have a gamemodes_server.txt created for your server? While unlikely, I'm thinking if one is not generated the server may not be using what you're specifying and falling back to what's listed in the gamemode_casual.cfg.

I have a customer gamemodes_server.txt from vandenburgs generator.

Where should the bot commands fall? I'm used to everything going on server.cfg however should they be best placed in the casual one?

The bot commands should go into whatever gamemode you're running. If you're running casual they'll go into gamemode_casual_server.cfg. Though, at this point, you may try editing your gamemode_casual.cfg to see if you can get the commands to stick there.

sv_hibernate_when_empty 0 will fix it for you, enter into your server.cfg
