I'm using SM myself & it seems to be working just fine.Just make sure you use the 1.5 dev. branch. Also there's a weapon restrict plugin for CS:GO that works, but you have to donate at least $5 to get access to donor forum. The developer who wrote it will eventually release it to the public, but didn't give a time frame for that release. If you decide to go the plugin route then make sure you download the dev. version of Sdkhooks.I included links to both the public version of the plugin & version 2.2 of Sdkhooks.

Does anybody know if I can add an MOTD.txt file? I am trying to add some in-game announcements. Thanks.

It's my understanding that the MOTD hasn't been added or enabled, yet.

But is there a way to put some sort of announcement like in CS:S and 1.6? For instance I just want to say thank you or something on the screen. Thanks.

If you use SourceMod,there's a couple advertisement plugins you can use.I recommend trying the one i linked below.I run it on my TF2 server w/o issue, but haven't had a chance to test it with CS:GO.I know that Steamtools doesn't work with CS:GO,so some parts of it won't function.

Looks like they just added MOTD support.

Release notes for 8/15 Update:

UI:
• Added Message of the Day
• Added a message when running without Steam to inform the users that the game requires Steam to be running.
• Added support for radar user message breaking up into several messages to allow for servers with large playercounts to not break user message stream when encountering too many entities.
• Updated the scoreboard so that if a game has a max of ten players you will see a compact scoreboard.
• Update to HUD voice status - darkened chat background from 32% opaque to 45% to increase readability of messages.
• Leaderboards input device filter now defaults to mouse and keyboard.

Bug Fixes:
• Fixed a bug where a dash was displayed when there was no score in the scoreboard.
• Fixed an issue with the HUD scaling not working with some elements.
• Enabled controller sampling regardless of input lock.
• Fixed several vgui fonts being too large at larger resolutions.
• Ignore low violence registry settings for CS:GO since we have no low violence regions.
• Fixed winning text not getting updated for arms race.
• Fixed win panel misalignments.
• Updated the scoreboard to fill from top to bottom for the order of players joining.
• Updated the scoreboard - moved the nav buttons up when you play with 10 players. Added a more opaque background.

Community Support:
• Added convars for better server customization:
o mp_solid_teammates - Determines whether teammates are solid or not.
o mp_free_armor - Determines whether armor and helmet are given automatically.
o mp_weapons_allow_zeus - Determines whether the Zeus is purchasable or not.
o mp_halftime - Determines whether or not the match has a team-swapping halftime event.
• Omitted reference to ranking or matchmaking from button warning.

-tickrate xxx would need to be placed on the command line.
I don't see an option for the command line in the control panel and the server rate dropdown box uses CSS rates (64 and 128 are the new rates for CS:GO). Any help on changing this to 128 or is it that not supported by NFO? Thanks

The drop-down will work. We support up to a tickrate of 100 for CS:GO right now. The default for CS:GO is 64, and we list that in the drop-down.

For the MOTD can u do a link like before or does it have to be typed out?
