Make my CS:GO server Classic Competitive

Post by Syl »

Hi guys,
I changed the autoexec.cfg to run game_mode 1 so it is Classic Competitive. When I launch the game it really says Classic Competitive, but it keeps using settings from the Classic Casual settings. Friendly fire is off, team collision is off, 10 rounds limit, etc...
Any idea what am I missing to make it a full classic competitive server ?
Thanks a lot

did you look into gamemodes.txt file?

You can adjust the settings there for competitive.

Also are you running unmanaged? What do you have in your command line?

This is what we have c:\csgo-ds\srcds -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 1 +mapgroup mg_allclassic +map de_nuke

I purchased the server with NFO, I don't think I have access to this command line.

I believe gamemodes.txt is already configured with default settings for each game modes, am I right or I need to customize them ?

I'm running the default gamemodes.txt provided by NFO, I changed nothing in it yet.

We include the default gamemodes.txt that Valve distributes, with the only change being the maxplayers.

If you have "game_type 0" and "game_mode 1" in your autoexec.cfg before you run the map, that's the same as putting these on the command line. Can you provide a copy of your full autoexec.cfg?

Here is the copy :

// turn on logging first, to maximize what is logged
log on
// game_type and game_mode together determine what is played.
// use game_type 0 and game_mode 0 for "Classic Casual"
// use game_type 0 and game_mode 1 for "Classic Competitive"
// use game_type 1 and game_mode 0 for "Arms race" (standard GunGame)
// use game_type 1 and game_mode 1 for "Demolition" (GunGame w/a bomb)
game_type 0
game_mode 1
// the map group determines what maps are run
// mapgroup mg_armsrace
// mapgroup mg_demolition
mapgroup mg_allclassic
// this is the starting map
map de_dust2
// further settings can be changed in cfg/server.cfg and in gamemodes.txt.

Actually, I think it is a problem with the image when you load the server... it seems that team collision is ON even if it says OFF on the loading page when you connect to the server.

So maybe everything is good here except the loading page.

Valve issue ?

It certainly could be that. The game has a lot of bugs =\.
