Re: This new go update is taking a while...
It's been taking a while, yes. The first update was 2GB, while that may not sound like a lot when the content servers are overloaded as they usually are it takes extra long :/
They also just pushed out another one which is probably around 1GB...

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Since when has Valve not broken something with an update?IcEWoLF wrote:WAY to ruin Thursday night gaming Valve. WAY TO GO!

True, but not as bad as this....most of the times it's server mod related because they break sourcemod all the times.kraze wrote:Since when has Valve not broken something with an update?IcEWoLF wrote:WAY to ruin Thursday night gaming Valve. WAY TO GO!
Now my concern turns into when the servers are finally fixed, how things will be with Sourcemod.
WAY TO RUIN MY WEEKEND VALVE!
Re: This new go update is taking a while...
Thanks for taking care of things NFo!Valve sent out a busted CS:GO update earlier today that did not work properly on most Windows servers. We are in the process of correcting this by applying older .dll files from before the update, and expect to have servers back up and running shortly.
Also note that addons may also need to be updated (you may need to update to the latest metamods/sourcemod, for instance) and in some cases gamemodes_server.txt will need to be replaced. In addition, Valve is implementing new Workshop integration to try to move map downloads to their servers for both clients and servers, something that we're still investigating.
Everything is working 100% with the latest Sourcemod release + Meta Mod release.
