BEC Problems on VDS

Post by FlyDeltaJets »

We are running DayZ Epoch on a VDs and have started running into a problem with Battleye Extended Controls (BEC) that seems to be getting worse.

We use the BEC to run automatic restarts which up until recently, have been working flawlessly. We recently began having problems with the VDS time (Windows Server 2008 R2) getting out of sync. After having problems with the time re-sync feature not working properly in Windows, I created a task schedule to automatically run the time sync every five minutes, which seems to have fixed the problem.

But now, BEC does not cooperate and routinely misses scheduled restarts. We haven't made any changes to the schedule file, but the game server will get to within 10 minutes of restarting (with appropriate warning messages via Rcon), but then BEC will just stop responding and won't follow the scheduler file anymore, missing the restart. This is absolutely maddening as we can't figure out what causes BEC to trip up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never liked BeC myself.
Had many issues using it.

I have always used Gotcha-Anti hack: http://forum.gotcha-antihack.com/index.php?topic=3820.0

You might not like their anti hack, but the restarter and other things on it are great.
