Expansion

Has anyone been able to load the latest expansion? When I run this in the modline:

arma2;expansion;ca;

We can only connect if we are not launching with the latest beta patch. This is really weird because when we launch with beta, I copied that exact folder to the server.

The server RPT is reporting its at Version 1.60.87548 when our clients are at Version 1.61. So I take it as it isn't loading up the beta.

It appears that running the beta requires executing a special .exe file, and our system does not support switching the executable. The latest 1.61 beta is also not compatible with servers running 1.60.

I hope that BI is planning to release this as an official patch very soon, because we have more and more people asking about it, and it seems that the standard version is falling far behind.

Edit: I see that they just put out a release candidate, so they're moving in that direction.

i had one of our players ask about this i advised them i was not really wanting to release my mission to the new patch version anyways as it still is only in beta and has new releases every couple days to much work imo

i think its a great idea to wait untill the stable version of the patch is released officially so we can all get updated ^.^
