Why can't I adjust so many settings when ranked?

As of MoHW's release, it contains a bug that prevents most HUD-related options, friendly fire, and some other settings from being adjusted from their defaults without also making the server temporarily unranked. This also prevents "Immersive" mode from working properly, as choosing that option will make any server run unranked. We expect for this to be fixed in a game update.
