How do I remove specific IPs from my VDS?

Post by Edge100x »

  1. Make sure that the custom reverse DNS option is enabled for your VDS by visiting the "IP list" page in the control panel and seeing that you can enter values. If not, contact us through the "Help" page to enable it for you.
  2. On the "IP list" page, define a valid reverse DNS entry for each IP that you wish to keep. If you don't want to set up a real reverse DNS entry for any IP, simply enter the word keep.
  3. Delete the old IP(s) through the OS, inside your VDS. This is the reverse of adding an IP address.
  4. Use the VDS/VPS order page to submit a standard order adjustment, selecting the number of extra IPs that you wish to remain at the end of the process. When you trigger the upgrade, the system will automatically remove IPs without reverse DNS entries first. It will fall back to removing other IPs only if it runs out of these.
