Creating a payment source

Post by kraze »

Setting up a payment source is easy and only takes a few minutes. You can either set up a payment source directly on the order response page, or later on, through our control panel. Here's how to do it if you didn't enter the source in the ordering process.
  1. Visit the "Payments" tab in your control panel, located under "My account"->"Payments".
  2. Under the section titled "Sources", click "Click here to add a new payment source".
  3. Select whether to use PayPal or a credit/debit card.
  4. If you chose credit/debit card, more information will appear that you need to fill in. Enter your credit/debit card information and click the "Submit source changes" button.
  5. If you chose PayPal, click the link provided, and you will be redirected to PayPal's site to set up the billing agreement.
  6. Once you have setup your payment sources, click the first "Submit source changes" button.
If you'd like to start a subscription after you create your payment source, you can also do this, through the same page. (Again, this can be done during the order process, as well.)
  1. Scroll down to the section titled "Packages/Subscriptions".
  2. You should now see your package(s) listed there and waiting to be started.
  3. Under the "Source" column, select the payment source you created or the one you want to use.
  4. If you are using a credit/debit card, a secondary box will appear that ask for your CVV2 code. Enter it and select "Submit source changes".
If this is a new server package, your server will start creating right away (for most services) and the process usually finishes within 45 minutes.

Be very careful not to click off that page or hit your browser's back button during any part of this process. Doing so will cause you to lose your changes.
