That's good to know! I know I pulled the IP from procon player list. How long does it normally take before the client sees the effects? Are they pretty much immediate?

The firewall rule is fairly quick, yes. Should only be a minute or two.

That's what I was thinking because within a matter of a couple minutes the client dropped.

I don't know how trustworthy the Procon player list is, so for anyone having problems, what I am recommending is that you double-check the IP address using our rcon tool with the command:

!pb pb_sv_plist

This will give a list of players as reported by Punkbuster.

Ok, cool thanks ! I hope I don't have to use it that often but at least it's a way to get rid of trouble players.
