Feel free to contact me offline and we can do that test. I dont think the firewall is working.

That was likely just a typo on John's part. I'm sure he meant IP.

Or Kraze if you want to test with me or see what we have setup for that person (essd0t) feel free to contact me. If we have something set wrong then help us correct it. I talked to Colt "server sudo owner" and it sounded like the response he revived when he generated a ticket with NFO was less then stellar, imho.

The easiest to confirm if the firewall tab is working is to add your IP to it and try to connect. If it doesn't please let us know by opening a request.

I will do that now and take some screen shots.

If you haven't already please send in a request using the "help" tab in your control panel.

How do i Ban while server is on normal/Offical ? WIthout...restarting it.
Sun, Nov 24 2013 1:16pm - answered by Charlie
Official servers do not allow bans or kicks, this is only available when using the "Ranked" server type.
Sun, Nov 24 2013 2:05pm
So, how do we combat an obvious hacker ?
Sun, Nov 24 2013 2:08pm - answered by Bill
There isn't any way to do so within the game at the moment, although you could block his IP in the firewall tab of your control panel. As you can imagine the community is rather furious over EA's decision to go this route.

It has been a few days since we last heard from you. Did you need any further assistance? Please let us know and we'll be happy to help, otherwise I'll go ahead and close out this request.

Firewall IP ban doesnt work.

How so, exactly? Is there a specific person on your server that you would like to block?

What is the IP of the user you blocked? Also how are you getting this users IP?
Tue, Nov 26 2013 4:29pm
It's in the thread is just sent you----...... I will re type. 71.199.190.39
Tue, Nov 26 2013 4:33pm - answered by Jordan
The thread you sent me was actually the page where you submit the post, not the actual thread. I figured it was a mistake and didn't examine the post too in-depth. It's also important to provide context on links you send.

How did you get this users IP?
Tue, Nov 26 2013 4:43pm
Sorry if I assumed you investigated. Apparently this is going no where.

How do you think I got his ip? Why is this information helpful to you - helping me - ban this unwelcome player ?
Tue, Nov 26 2013 4:47pm - answered by Jordan
I am asking because I want to know you got it the proper way and didn't mistake it for someone else's IP..etc.

A good test would be to add your own IP to that list and try to connect to your server. This will help you see if it's working or not.

Yes, I was the one that responded. Before anything gets escalated to John we like to check and confirm the customer is doing the process correctly..etc.

Your best bet is to continue talking with us in the support system so we can get to the bottom of it ;)

I do not like this sudden trend of posting private support request conversations.

I realize you want an answer instantly, but troubleshooting is appropriate.

Sorry - I didn't realize I was not suppose to post the ticket that was asked of me to post. Should I delete it or do you want to.
