We don't have much information on our end other than that it enables Naval Strike, which has four new maps (XP2_001, XP2_002, XP2_003, XP2_004) and a new game mode (CarrierAssaultLarge0/CarrierAssaultLarge1).

Hopefully it has fixed that one bad exploit cause I just went ahead and re-enabled commander among all of my servers in assumption that it does...

Just got the download, are we able to update our map lists right now or will it break something?

And what's the difference between 0/1 for the mode

Thanks!

You can go ahead and update your maplist safely, I am not too sure about the gamemode options yet though.
<Spray> Please try locking your modem in a closet, or facing it towards the wall in the corner, so it knows its misbehaved

Anyone seen a link to the latest server documentation files for R31 yet?

Edit: The game mode name for Carrier Assault doesn't seem to be CarrierAssaultLarge0 or CarrierAssaultLarge1. I just tried both on the control panel and it returned "InvalidMapModeName" or something similar (It's early and I'm rushing this before I leave for work.)

XP2_001 CarrierAssaultLarge0 2

That should work, and it's for 2 rounds. Change the 2 if you want more or less than that.

I am having issues with the game showing custom.

I have heard that using a vanilla map and getting it to show normal then setting or adding the maps to keep it normal rather than custom.

I am using the updated ProCon and naval strike conquest 64
any ideas

I already have people crying about lag on the Naval strike maps. Server has only been up for 5 hours.

The presets seem to work properly for me as chosen through the "Easy setup" page.

I have heard complaints of CPU usage going up significantly with this update but I don't have any information from DICE on why or whether this will be improved in future versions.

Lotsa lag and rubber-band complaints in my two 64 player Naval Strike servers, Conquest and Carrier Assault.

This game has in all honesty seriously turned into a joke. I too have received complaints of maps rubber banding badly. Not only did they delay the release of the expansion(which I'd be okay with if it actually worked well upon release) but it is still causing what I would consider massive issues.

Does restarting improve the lag? If it's a resource leak, it might.

We can also try turning on threading if you have a server that's lagging, to see if it would help.

Yes, restarting definitely helps for about 5 hours as I have found out! Then after that it starts to get bad again. Would turning on threading impact other game servers on the same machine in a negative way?
