Question about a new issue

Rooftops/roofing are now accessible apparently by an exploit. Did DICE or EA make any announcement acknowledging this as an issue that will be addressed?

Is this like the elevator exploit in COD Modern Warfare? Or like the grapling exploit in Hardline?

Placing C4 on the bike, detonate, parachute down on rooftops. Similar to BF2 roofing.

From This BattleLog News Post, yes and it's already been patched.
Level Optimizations
Add out of bounds volume for rooftops on Dragon’s Teeth maps.
Freed up more texture memory across all platforms.
Object collision optimization.
Improved problematic destructible buildings.
Fixed hole in carrier deck collision that allowed people to fall through into the ship and become trapped.
We enforce this in our servers. The spectator camera usually can't even fly high enough to spectate them! We have it scroll in our normal server messages and in a plugin for server rules on request. Sometimes they get a warning, otherwise kill, and if they keep it up kick.

Since this is from CTE, you will likely see this actually get patched in the retail version in September based on This BattleField Blog Post where they are talking about the changes happening in CTE and when the next update/patch for the retail version is, says they are "aiming at a release in September."
