We're averaging one crash every night... When the server is full (64-CQ). Running as plain vanilla as possible. But this is a new game, and I trust both DICE and NFO are doing everything they can to resolve the problems. imo BF3 was a whole lot worse :\

It looks like the option to select (and hold) "Aggressive Join" works now ?

The server crashing is driving me nuts. Finally get full then boom - 0/64.

Also we seem to crash several times in a row, which makes it worse.

We are not even populating the servers because it is that bad...

We've only experienced one crash per night, when she's full, but again we're running as plain vanilla as possible; no tweaks anywhere. No tweaking of the startup.txt file. No server messages.. nothing. I'll wait till all the problems are resolved before fine tuning the server.

We get 10+ guys in there every night to prime it; doesn't take that long for a full server. When it crashes, we load 10+ more guys back in there (plus a few pre-crash players rejoin), and in no time, full server once again.

It is what it is.. The game just came out two days ago... Gonna take a while for DICE to get things fixed, so a little patience goes a long way. Whole lot better than BF3's debut imo.

Tried wiping startup.txt and setting normal settings, applying, restarting, removing this cvar, no dice. Server still showing up as custom.

Anybody else have ideas on how to fix this? :?

I used the startup.txt from the following post and it fixed my "Custom" problem.

That did it. Easy setup added a cvar in that Battlelog didn't like. Found it and removed it.

My server crashes once or twice per hour.

Always 64/64.

I'm in Chicago, 70 player, Extra CPU.

Our server has zero lag, but it crashes every 30 minutes (or 1 hour)

Ours seems to be crashing after filling up at this point now. Wish DICE would get this fixed ASAP. >.<

First it kicks everybody out, but does not crash. Then about 10 folks reconnect, then it crashes and restarts the start map.

If it just crashed clean or once we could refill easier.

EA/DICE Help!!

Is there anyone here that is determined to keep your server under Normal preset but keep losing your vars.gameModeCounter value after each server crash? Here's a plugin I shared in the other thread if you're interested... http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 169#p50169

I don't need the plugin, but I just wanted to say thanks for taking time to figure all the stuff out with the presets and writing this plugin, TimSad.

Not really sure what is up but my server will run fine all day and maybe have one or two crashes through out the afternoon early evening but around 8pm EDT it will start crashing every map. Anyone else find this happening to them?

Yes! I'm finding that the crashes like to bunch up together in one timeframe but before and after that timeframe the frequency of the crashes are maybe reduced to once every 2 hours.
