Server Crash

R4 still crashing. Less than 30mins after update. Looks like no change whatsoever to me. But hey, we got a chance at winning a hoodie and the USA vs Euro thing, gj ea/dice

my server as well crashed about an hour after the R4 update. was full then at 64 slots and crashed again on MP_Resort as the Levolution was taking down the hotel ...it's been crashing on that map a lot and when that hotel comes down just like with MP_Siege when the Skyscraper comes down. I've removed both those maps from the rotation so we are down to 8 maps now.

R4 did nothing IMO but I'll keep posting tonight if crashes continue or if it gets any better. So far I haven't seen any improvement at all. Oh except for the fact that now my what was Normal Official server have been changed to Custom Official and I didn't even change any settings!

should we be getting charged for our servers if they cant keep them up? maybe a credit? hard to build a player base on your server when everyone keeps getting dumped.

I'll give points to DICE for consistency when it comes to server patches. Ever since BF2, you can be assured that they will break the game several times before they actually fix it!

Well this is disappointing to see that crashes are continuing. We just got our 64 player server going again after the server update. Guess I shouldn't be surprised if I see it crash. Was hoping they would fix this before the weekend.

There are a ton of other server providers that are not having this crashing issue. Most of my fledgling community is in open revolt over this. I am being yelled at because I can't provide them a stable server where Reddit can.

What makes these servers crash and lag more than others?

There are not other providers which are not having crashing problems. If someone is telling you that, they are mistaken.

All of the crashes I've seen with BF4 have been caused directly by game bugs. All RSPs run the same version of the game. All see the same bugs. All are reporting high crash frequencies.

It's natural to think the grass is greener on the other side. But if you're looking at the other side from NFO, that's unlikely.
