For those with VDSes, you might try enabling multithreading via the "Use BF3/BF4 multithreading" option on the "Managed panel" page. We have not tested this feature yet with BF4, but theoretically it could help.

PB is historically a common cause of lag, and DICE is still mucking around with PB, so that might come up, as well. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do with PB, apart from recommending basic settings (and skipping screenshots).

We are on Dual Intel Xeon E5-2690 (Sandy Bridge-E 2.9ghz), I guess since our processor is slower, might as well give that a try.

John, does it require a server restart for this to take effect?

I think blaze just dumped our 64P domination server. I had to edit tickets manually through rcon(it isn't reading it from startup.txt) and that is still applied, but it went from 64 to 0 players.

gfldom in chicago.

Also john, if you want to check server performance on a 1270v1. Our 64p and 32p servers have been consistently full since launch :)

Our 64P rush server just dropped all players and reset variables I set during runtime(through rcon).

For gametracker, what's the Join Port and Query Port?

I'm trying to add my server with the default and I'm getting an error.

My clans 64 player Conquest Large server also crashed while it was full. Our 32 player Obliteration server has thankfully been going strong since launch! Very annoying!

Our 64p CQ large just crashed/lost connection to blaze.

The 50% price increase for blaze is such a scam.

+1 to this, EA and their B/S at times...one would think they would have learned from the past 2 game releases...

It seems to be only Conquest that is consistently crashing somewhere in the middle of the rounds on most maps at least. Our 48 player Obliteration/Rush, 48 player TDM, and 64 player 24/7 Operation Locker @ 2,000 Tickets servers have all been doing very well without a single crash. It's the rotation Conquest server that keeps crashing in the middle of rounds even when I had the ticket percentage set to just 150%.

In that one thread of mine about Normal preset I made mention that vars.gameModeCounter, when in the Startup, is ignored unless you add one of those variables that cause the server to jump out of Normal preset strangely.

EDIT: WOW! Immediately after I posted this, my Operation Locker server crashed! LAME! :|
