PB is also a possible culprit, either server or client side. We saw server-side issues during the beta, and both server- and client-side issues frequently with BF3. They're clearly still experimenting with it, as kicks for violations still aren't even enabled.

The first day, even with PB off, it was awful the game experience, I think this game was probably never meant to be on a vds...but again, it's too early to tell because the game state is terrible. EA/Dice should be ashamed releasing this game and having such poor performance and multiple crashes...

Have to agree about daily game server restarts to flush everything and start fresh.
We have seen Arma3 and Minecraft with bad plugins have increasing memory as the day goes on. We do early morning daily restart of all game servers, TS3 and Procons to keep things fresh as possible.

We all went through the same thing with BF3 and suffered the same pains for months.

EA/Dice rush the release of a poorly put together and tested game.
It's all about the money.

They had Alpha to fix this, then they had Beta to fix this...somehow they still can't get a release right...terrible releases I tell ya.

Rented a Seattle server, damn it runs smooth, super smooth!
Of course it's on a shared machine, which the performance is amazing.
I can't believe there is so much difference between a dedi and a vds for BF3 and BF4.

Gone are the days when devs had to get it right the first time. Now they can patch everything, so paying customers get to be game testers!

Updating PB on my client(with pbsetup) seemed to help me, I can actually play the game without crashing every round. About to play some more, hope my client stability keeps up!

I still get latency issues on the following maps (and only the following maps)
Lancang Dam (MP_Damage)
Golmud Railway (MP_Journey)
Hainan Resort (MP_Resort)

It's 64 player conquest (70 slot, 4 spectators, 2 commanders, 64 players)

I'd really like to see these fixed :-/

Siege of Shanghai (MP_Siege) still causes large numbers of clients to crash when the building goes down (including myself), so that's also off of my rotation. Which bothers me since it's the map they pretty much marketed the game with.

How's Paracel Storm performing after R4? I'd like to put it back into my rotation if it's better.

I hate to say this but our server has crashed on every map at least once, some more than others. The maps we have crashed on consistently

MP_Naval
MP_Damage
MP_Resort
MP_Siege
MP_ Prison

And when I take those maps out of the rotation, we just crash on another map. MP_Damage and MP_Journey have a lot of sound issues. It seems like it's not totally map related at all and just bad netcode IMO

Are the 64p dedicated and stand alone servers from NFo running smooth other than crash?
