Rubber banding + Lag...

Post by IcEWoLF »

So, I changed my server from 64p to 48p, but the rubber banding and lag is still there. using multi-threading will not work for now, because when that is enabled, server won't come online.

This is on a vds server, not sure what else to really do, the game plays like crap on our server unfortunately and not sure what else to do to improve game play.
We run normal tickets, nothing out of the ordinary, default settings for normal game mod.

You need to raise a ticket with NFO then, shared game servers are covered by their performance guarantee.

What is the battlelog link for your server? Which CPU is it on(under the "server health" tab).

I have a server with another provider and we're having SERIOUS lag issues with certain maps especially Paracel Storm and Lancang Dam. So much so that we've removed both of them from the rotation.

I don't think the issue is with the GSPs but rather with the game's net code.

I played on FrozenTundra's server tonight with 64 players on several maps, and experienced no lag at all. Ran great. Only complaint is that I can't remember how to play it's been so long. And I hate softcore. 30 shots at a soldier with a tank and you still can't kill them. 8 rockets into a tank and still can't blow it up. Retarded.

Also like the guys that 1 shot sniper head shot while running around.
I have hit guys with 3 shots and still they go like the energizer bunny.

30 shots with the tank, 2 shots with an AR. Way to make sense DICE.

I have been noticing ridiculous low CPU usage when running our server(s). With a 32 player TDM and 64 player rush full we only have 11% CPU usage on our dedi. Across 8 threads 14% would be a maxed out thread, meaning(if I am not wrong to assume this) a 64 player server uses only around half of an E3-1270 core. Maybe something else is at play interfering with server performance on VDS machines?

EDIT: WOOOOO 24HRS TDM full, zero crashes xD
