R4 = Offical servers as Custom

Anybody else or just me?
I set my offical server to ranked and it's set to normal.

EDIT:
I can put vars.preset "normal" through rcon but it goes back to custom on server restart.

Getting the same thing. Tried putting in the Normal command and it's still stuck on Custom.

I reg on the forums to report this very thing.

Thanks for the tip on running the command through Rcon. I wonder of putting it at the end of the startup file will do anything.....

Ok so I got it going now and this is what I did.

Delete all the lines in the startup.txt, save and do a restart. After it restarts type in vars.preset normal and it should set the server back to Normal in the Battlelog page.

This is only a temporary fix. If the server crashes it will be once again custom, as said in the OP.

I hate these Normal/Custom/Ranked bugs.

Thankfully, Official servers showing as something else aren't as big a deal, since they'll still get "Play now" players. Still needs to be fixed, though.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me as I'm still showing "Custom" -- no big deal I suppose.

my Official server is also showing Custom now. But as long as it's still putting players in, I don't really care.

Is this only an NFO issue, because I see tons of other servers that say "normal" in Battlelog.

My server is empty...dont like all these bugs/issues we've been having to dance around since day1.

I've also noticed now that besides the custom thing....Fairfight is off on myserver as well, even thought it says "on" in control panel.

Ok so I got it going now and this is what I did.

I used this method and my server & oit started to fill up,after a few hours not sure if it crashed or not,coming back from work it was set back to custom and the server was empty.

before using your method my server showed 62 slots.After applying your method my server showed 58 slots and server started to fill up again.

I've added a box on the "Easy setup" page under the admin daemon section which will help everyone to maintain Normal/Hardcore mode by refreshing it on every map load.

Tried this option, server is still Custom. My Startup.txt is completely blank except for the vars.preset Normal line.
