Windows vs Linux

One of your admins had a great explanation for the details of why you go Windows instead of Linux on the CS:S servers
if someone can help me find that article much appreciated

I wish I could remember whjo specifically talked about this but I cannot but if someone could just link me to the orignal thread about this that woulpd be great

I don't remember the thread, but I will say that in our testing a couple of years ago, Windows significantly outperformed Linux for CS:S and CS 1.6. I have also heard some talk recently about other providers having problems running 500fps Linux servers (as far as the server FPS not staying up), although I don't know much more than that. We don't seem to have any problems like that.
