How to adjust your server specifications (order)

Post by aMies|NFo »

This tutorial can be used to make any change to your game server, or game server package. In this tutorial I will be using a location change as an example.

To move your game server to a new location is fairly simple. Our automated systems allow you to perform the action whenever you wish, day or night, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To move your game server location, follow these steps:

First, you might want to take a look at your Control Panel and to double check what your server's current information is.

The Description page shows you most of the information about it:

Next, you will need to go to http://www.nfoservers.com/order.php. This is where you will tell the system where to change your server to. Be sure that you are already logged in to the Order page in the upper left hand corner of the screen (under the website links and right above the testimonials) in order to make the change process as quick as possible.

From here you will need to fill out the form with your current server info that was brought up via the Description tab. Only make changes where necessary. As you can see, the only change I have made is to the location. If you have a Ventrilo or Higher CPU priority or second server in your package, don't forget to include them as well or you will lose them. At the bottom be sure to select This is a change to an existing server.

Once you click Review proposed changes you will move to the following screen. Be sure to read through it as it alerts you of what changes you are making. The page will also tell you how much is owed, if any. At the bottom of this page will be three directions. Every step may not pertain to you. Be sure to read each one and confirm that it has been completed before moving to the next.

The final step in the process is to visit your Payments tab, located in the My Account area of your Control Panel. Clicking one of the links to the Payments tab on the previous confirmation page will take you directly to it. From here, you will now see an Upgrade button under Subscription Status. Click that button.

Once you click Upgrade you will be prompted to enter your CVV2 number(Assuming you are using a credit/debit card). Enter the number and click Submit.

To confirm that your server has changed, give it 30-60 minutes and visit the Description tab again to see if the location is as it should be. Alternatively, you can visit the Events Log in your Control Panel for the full change list.

If you run into any trouble be sure to contact our Support staff via the "Help" button in your control panel.
