You could run pretty much whatever you'd like on a dedicated server (within the bounds of the law), since you would have full access to it. Garrysmod would definitely be possible, and it would be fairly easy to set up since it can be downloaded through Steam's HLDSUpdateTool.

We don't charge for IPs, and the limit on the number of IPs that we can provide is simply the number that you can justify.

To justify any IP addresses that you request from us, you will need to show how you are already using all you have, explain how the new IPs will be used, and let us know why your existing allocation is not sufficient.

"Unmanaged" dedicated servers are the most common type of dedicated server. They do not come with support for the software running on the machine, in contrast with "managed" dedicated servers that do.

Since we rent only unmanaged dedicated servers, this means that we provide full support in handling whatever hardware and bandwidth difficulties you might have, to include such items as hard drive failures and routing adjustments, but we do not assist with the software configuration on the machine apart from the initial setup and the later addition of IP addresses. For instance, this means that we can't help a customer set up game servers, install their own control panel, or configure Windows services.

For information on how you'd handle a server crash, please read this additional FAQ entry.

If you're looking for a more managed solution with extensive generalized support, we recommend taking a look at our standard game servers.
It shouldn't be too hard to configure a dedicated machine, but basically if you are having problems with the control panel for example TCAdmin, you may want to post on their forums for further assistance.
If you have any problems with configurating some game servers, you can always post in the support forums or go to the games respective websites to ask for assistance if you are having any issues with the game.

Dedicated servers are best when you ran several different type of game servers, thats when you want to have a Dedicated server, if you do not feel comfortable, Then you can always go with the rental servers that come with full support.

If you are looking to get several servers (this means different games also) go with a dedicated server.

If you are planning to go with 1 or 2 game servers, then I'd suggest you to go with the rental solution.
Good luck making your decision.

Either way you go, NFo will not disappoint, their premium internap bandwidth is great, their smart Internap routing is even greater, I have 3 NFo Servers.
The pings are the lowest I've ever seen!

Here is a list of my servers if you want to check them out (they are counter strike source servers) :

66.151.138.51:27015

64.94.100.47:27015

Keep in mind, You can rent a trial game server from NFo (2 Trial days free) they will not charge you for those two days, before the two days are up, you can decided to either keep it or cancel it, my personal advice to you is to at least give them a try.

I've tried many companies aka Gameservers/Velocity/Summit/Xfactor/KP/ and few others, nothing comes close to the NFo servers/support/reliability and NFo Guarantees their servers 110%.

We can provide as many IPs as you can justify (which usually just means how many servers you want to run, since typically one IP is used per server). Most dedicated server customers start with 3-9 IPs and build from there.
