Window Update problem

No matter what i try i cannot get windows update to apply Security update.
It keeps showing the shield icon by the clock saying the following update is ready to be installed.

Windows update website still shows Security update ready to be installed.

The only thing i didn't try was install update and shutdown, if i do will i be able to restart the Dedicated server using control panel?

Guess we will have to wait until microsoft releases another update to fix this problem.

You should be able to power cycle the machine even if you shut it down completely, but I wouldn't recommend trying it, in case the power on BIOS variable is mis-set to "Last state" instead of "Power on".
