cs 1.6 server keep shutting down

hello servers was working fine til some day of last week it start poping up this message saying Server is Shutting down and at times. players would just get disconnected randomly, or players would get kicked by console. and theres not enough players on the team to kick anyone. i set the vote kicking to 9999 so no one could vote kick anyone. and no one has rcon ive been changing rcon rapidly with differely computer. so i know its not me being keyloged or anything. can you please check on it please. its pissing me off and running all the players away

It sounds like you might be experiencing an exploit, as there's a recent crashing exploit that has been made public and which affects CS 1.6 servers. Please post about it here and we can talk about it more

Someone has been performing crash sweeps over all CS 1.6 servers over the last day or two using this exploit, and we also have seen random uses of it on servers in general since it was released last week.

ok i downloaded the anti csdos v3.5 and installed it on the machine. and patched all servers now il just have to wait and see if it will happen again thanks.

do i put each of these files in the server filess in which the folder it goes in? :X

Both of those downloads (post #14 and post #8) contain a configs folder, and a scripting folder. The configs folder goes right inside the cstrike/addons/amxmodx/ folder. The scripting folder will have an .sma file in it that needs to be compiled.

You should be able to use the compiler tool on the amxmodx website to turn it in to a compiled .amxx plugin. Once you have the .amxx file, it goes in the cstrike/addons/amxmodx/plugins/ folder, and then you will need to edit the cstrike/addons/amxmodx/configs/plugins.ini file and add the full name of the plugin file to the bottom, such as whatever.amxx

After that a map change should get it running, and doing "rcon amxx plugins" in your console without the quotes will tell you if its running or if there was any load errors.

Valve released a fix for this yesterday . You should be able to grab it through hldsupdatetool.
