COD 2 and DOOM 3 help

Hey i was trying to get a DOOM 3 server and a Call of Duty 2 Server running on my VDS but ive encounted a error when they boot. Here are the Errors.

DOOM 3: WARNING: idChoiceWindow::InitVars: gui 'guis/mainmenu.gui' window 'SNDBPrimary' references undefined cvar 's_driver'

Call of Duty 2: Can't load a map without a player profile selected.

Here are my Command Lines for Each game.

Doom 3 : +set net_serverdedicated 1 +exec doomserv.cfg

Call Of Duty 2: +set dedicated 2 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

both the console text boxes appear but they give the two errors i said above and will not start. the cod2 one seems to be a profile issue but i cant make a profile because i cannot boot the game on the box without a vid card. im not exactly sure what the doom 3 one is but any help would be greatly appericated.

For Doom3, are you executing doom3ded.exe? For cod2, are you executing cod2mp_s.exe? Are both games fully patched?

For doom3, the command line that I'd generally recommend is:

doom3ded.exe +set net_ip $ip +set si_maxplayers $maxplayers +exec server.cfg

(With the variables replaced with what you actually need.)

For cod2:

i do not seem to have this doom3ded.exe file in my doom 3 folder. could you give me a link or email it to me so i can get it ? or is there a site i can get it from


I tried your cod2 fix but it still didnt work and i am executing the cod2_mps.exe file that u said heres what comes up in the command box

On Doom3, doom3ded.exe comes with the game. If you're not seeing it, you might need to apply the latest patch (1.3).

On CoD2, make sure that you have a "players" directory in the "main" folder, containing both a "default" folder and file called "active.txt" containing just the text "default".

I got Doom 3 working all is good for that one but COD2 still continues to give me that profile error. Do you know a place where i could redownload the COD2 files?

Are you sure you have the directory structure set up the way that I detailed? Not having that structure is what causes the profile error, if I am remembering it correctly.

I don't know of a website that has the full files, but if you open a support request, I can take a closer look at your files for you and see what might be missing.
