Ok So

1. How do I lock to a specific core?

2. How do I set it to High CPU priority

These are fresh installs as of the update. I didnt update I just made new servers.

These two things can both be done in the Windows task manager. Right-click on the process in the processes list, and you'll see options there to adjust the priority and CPU affinity.

That only works while its running though. If you restart the server it will go back to normal priority correct?

Also my ping issue and MOST other players pings are normal now when they join except for 2 players that are out of Seattle area. John has found before that this was a routing issue but I am not sure at this point what it is.

Also, I dont know what changed that made our pings better ?!? :?: :?: :!: :!:

That's correct, to make it happen every time you start the server, you'd need to use the directions in the tutorial or start up the server with a utility that can do it for you, like FireDaemon.

It's strange that your ping issue would just go away. Maybe it was a game update?

They just released a bunch of game updates for CSS some involving rate changes / issues. i have a surfing css server on my VDS single core and it seems to work fine thou i have seen random spikes.. another thing ive seen is where people that are using old scripts that havent been updated to the latest version of CSS tend to cause problems im just forwarning you on this because ive seen a single css server take 100% cpu usage off a four core machine because someone was using a outdated script..

hope some of this helps :)

I fixed it with a combination of the following

1. CSS Updates applied
2. Turning off the Achievements

Thanks all,

Thanks for the update!

It's strange that disabling achievements would make a difference.
